40mcube de Valérie Travers
34, rue de l’Alma
For 40mcube, Valerie Travers has transformed the exhibition space into an environment of drawings painted on the wall and presents a series of photographs that have been redrawn, play on the transition between mediums.
A computer in the exhibition allows the public to consult the entirety of her email drawings, which she invents daily using a graphic palette. The sketches take into account in her daily life and the people who surround her, real or imaginary. Ever since April 1, 2000, these drawings have been forwarded regularly to a circle of acquaintances.
The sketches made during the exhibit are sent to individuals and to different exhibition spaces in France and abroad, encouraging the public to follow the day-to-day progress of this exhibit. This intimate work is now brought to the forefront for a larger public.
